Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR) is a non-profit, independent think-tank in Rwanda Guided by a fundamental concern for the well being of all Rwandans. Since its inception through its research the institute has influenced debates about policy and has promoted dialogue related to major issues in the country. This openness to research and involvement of the community will be an asset to the centre.
The scope and nature of support IPAR can provide to ACE-DS
IPAR participation as a partner in the overall governance and operating practices for the ACE-DS;
IPAR collaboration in research projects through identification of topics that can add value to policy formulation and availing surveys and censuses datasets;
Leverage IPAR relationships nationally within rwanda, the region, and internationally to secure research funding, research projects of benefit to Rwanda and the Region to support visions, priorities, and plans such as AU Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa 2024 (STISA-2024), Agenda 2063, and so on.
Providing orientation for data production that will lead to policy positions; and
Providing hands-on practical skills related data production, data management, and use of official statistics for decision-making and policy formulation at the training centre being constructed.
